Zee’s approach towards teaching and consulting is:

“I try to inspire students to be who they want to be. I encourage my clients to find their own feet. It is a very individual path, thus I devote some time to design an approach that works best for the particular personality.

The best singers in the music history are the ones that have sung because of their passion and have explored their own voice and creativity. I teach my students not only to sing correctly and enjoy the process, but also to find and express their uniqueness.”

Steve Churchouse: I had 6 one hour lessons with her to prepare for the concerts. In that time Zee taught me how to breathe correctly, to adjust my pitch and showed me where my range was. I also learned about scales and how to treat my voice like an instrument in itself.  

Zee gave me tips on stage craft and presence and how to address an audience with confidence.  As a teacher I would say that she is kind and patient and is able to teach at the level you are at.  She is serious, professional, friendly and easy to understand.

 Before I took lessons with her I did not think my voice was very good but have learned through her help that all voices are different and have different qualities. Because of this I feel much more confident in my singing and have taken my singing much more serious. Since I had lessons I have performed many times in public and have enjoyed it immensely.

Nicola Hooks: when I started the lessons I had little knowledge of singing and had very little singing experience. Unlike other music teachers I’ve had in the past Zee is patient, enthusiastic, encouraging and always willing to help me find new ways to improve my technique.  She has an excellent knowledge of vocal training, music and theory. 

She is constantly observing my technique and she is always aware of what I need to do to improve. Since I started having lessons with Zee I have noticed a gradual but steady improvement week by week. Zee has helped and encouraged me to find my own voice and to develop my own style which I feel a lot more confident about. Recently I have started going to open mic nights and singing live and performing on stage. Also my friends and family have complimented me on my singing since.
